Christmas Day in the hall

On Christmas morning a group of villagers and visitors were welcomed to the Village Hall to celebrate the Birth of Christ.  It is the first time that the Methodist Church has used the hall for a service, but the melodious and enthusiastic congregation soon took up the singing of familiar carols, and requested more. The Lay preacher Gordon led the service recounting the nativity story and telling us of the first appearance of angels. After the service coffee and mince pies were enjoyed by everyone there, an excellent start to Christmas Day.
