Peggy’s Party

Saturday April 2nd 2016

Fifty of Peggy Shepperd’s friends and family, neighbours and fellow painters, squeezed into The Port Navas Yacht club for a wonderful evening to celebrate Peggy’s centenary. We were served a delicious supper and the champagne and wine flowed. Peggy was on feet for much of the evening wandering round the room chatting with everyone. She made a lovely speech thanking everyone for making her time in Port Navas so enjoyable. Her son Andrew added his thanks and talked a bit about his remarkable Mum. Finally Brian Roper reminisced about times gone by with Peggy and Douglas. We all felt we’d been lucky to be present at an historic village occasion.
